Once we've received a completion notice from OptiComm that your service has been connected we'll send a welcome email letting your know your service is ready with some handy info.
In some cases, you may be able to use the internet prior to us sending your welcome email, depending on your connection status:
I have an active connection with another OptiComm provider
When Pentanet receives your application our provisioning team will begin processing your order. Your internet connection will stop working with your old provider within 24-48 hours of Pentanet placing a transfer request with OptiComm. Please keep in mind we don't process orders during weekends or public holidays.
Once this happens, this means that OptiComm has transferred the connection over to us. You can now plug in your Pentanet provided router or configure your own using the PPPoE details we sent in your welcome email.

I've never had an OptiComm connection at this address
Typically premises that have never been connected to the OptiComm network before will require a field technician to attend your premises and install their equipment to facilitate the connection. OptiComm will book the earliest available appointment slot between 8am - 12pm or 1pm - 5pm to install their equipment. Someone over the age of 18 will need to be present to grant the field technician access to the premises.
