What do I need to do before my Fixed Wireless installation?

Once you've accepted your application terms and conditions and booked an installation slot with our onboarding team you are almost ready to be installed for Fixed Wireless!

 

Before you get installed by our installation team, here are a few things to keep in mind and consider:

  • Data Point: As our technicians will be installing a new data point from our dish to a wall socket you'll need to think of placement. On the day of installation, you'll be asked where you'd like the socket to be installed. Please bear in mind that the location you choose will need a double brick wall and have a powerpoint nearby. 

    Your wall socket is typically where the location of your Wi-Fi router will live so it's best to ensure the install location you choose is in a central part of the home that will allow for the best Wi-Fi coverage.

    You may need to make the space clear of furniture for the installer to safely complete their work.
  • Installation Contact: Please ensure at the time of install that an authorized person over the age of 18 is available to let the installer inside.
  • Power turned off: While the installer is in the roof and completing cable works the power may need to be turned off for safety.
  • Pets: If you have any pets please ensure they are secured during install and made available for pats after it has been completed 😊
