What happens if I move house?

Considering moving house? We've got you covered, our Internet Relocation Service takes the hassle out of moving by providing you with a seamless transition.

No more worrying about setting up a new service or dealing with downtime. We're here to ensure you stay connected from the moment the last box is in the door and the moving van's been emptied out! We'll just need to verify the service delivery types available to your new address and whether or not the current service can be transferred.

Relocation of service charges

  • Due to the large cost involved to remove and re-install a Fixed Wireless connection a transfer fee will apply if you would like to move your Fixed Wireless connection with you.

    Relocation cost of a Fixed Wireless service is $200 - this fee will only cover a standard installation at the new address.

  • A service transfer fee of $299 applies for this service type.

    If you enter into a fixed-term contract and during your term, choose to move to a new address that does not have neXus coverage, early termination fees will apply.

  • A service transfer fee of $29 applies for this service type.

    Some properties may have a NBN New Development Fee of $300 if you are the first to connect to the NBNCo network at this address. Please check with our team to see if this fee may be applicable.

  • A service transfer fee of $120 applies for this service type.

    Some properties may have a OptiComm New Development Fee of $300-$550 if you are the first to connect to the OptiComm network at this address. Please check with our team to see if this fee may be applicable.

How to request a service relocation

There are few ways you can request a relocation of your service:

  • Contact our sales team on (08) 9466 2670
  • Complete a Relocation of Service Request Form, which you can find in the Additional Resource section of our website
  • Lodge a request online via the "Create a New Ticket" page in the "Support" section of the Customer Portal. See screenshot below.

What happens if my new home does not have my current service type available?

  • If Fixed Wireless is not available in your new address early termination fees may apply. Please refer to the Fixed Wireless Critical Information Summary for the termination charges applicable, which you can find in the Additional Resource section of our website.

  • If neXus is not available in your new address early termination fees may apply. Please refer to the neXus Critical Information Summary for the termination charges applicable, which you can find in the Additional Resource section of our website.

  • As of December 2020 most suburbs can be connected to the NBN network. The few exceptions are if the address is located in a private fibre estate such as Telstra Velocity or Opticom.

  • If OptiComm is not available at your new address early termination fees may apply. Please refer to the OptiComm Critical Information Summary for the termination charges applicable, which you can find in the Additional Resource section of our website.

Can I change to another Service type?

Can I transfer the contract to another person?

Yes, you can transfer the service to another person or business by completing a Transfer of Ownership Request Form, which you can find in the Additional Resource section of our website.

A $55 fee applies when transferring ownership of a service.
