How can I change my Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password?

Keen to give your Wi-Fi setup a little more personality? Here’s how you can configure your own Wi-Fi settings for Pentanet supplied modem/routers.

    1. Launch the app and tap your Device.
    2. Tap Wireless.
    3. Under Wireless Settings, change the SSID Name and Wireless Password.
    4. Tap the tick in the top right corner to save your changes.

    1. Open your browser and type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Press Enter.
    2. The username and password are both admin - enter this and click Login. If you have changed the login credentials, please enter the current username and password for your modem interface.
    3. Click the Basic tab.
    4. On the menu on the left side of the page, click Wireless.
    5. You can change the SSID (network name) to anything you like, but remember this will be what your neighbours might see! You can also change the password at the same time.
    6. Click Save.

    1. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the Pentanet Prism / Mercku M2's Wi-Fi network.
    2. Open the Mercku App on your mobile device.
    3. Choose Settings.
    4. Choose WiFi Settings.
    5. You can change the SSID (network name) to anything you like, but remember this will be what your neighbours might see! You can also change the password at the same time.
    6. Click Save.
    1. Make sure your device is connected to the Pentanet Prism / Mercku M2's Wi-Fi network or via Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.127.1.
    3. The admin password is likely your Wi-Fi password. If it isn't, you may have changed it previously.
    4. Choose Settings.
    5. Choose WiFi Settings.
    6. You can change the SSID (network name) and the password at the same time.
    7. Click Save.
