Pentanet has partnered with eero, an Amazon company, to offer eero devices for use on the Pentanet network. Purchasing your eero device from Pentanet means you receive benefits like:
- An easy and simplified set-up experience and device management (via the simple eero app for your iPhone or Android device).
- Great add-ons (like eero Secure for internet backup, advanced security and ad-blocking) included for free with your eero purchase.
- Simple warranty and replacement for your eero device through Pentanet.
- Enhanced network monitoring support for your eero device and network through Pentanet.
If you didn't purchase your eero device through Pentanet, you can still use your eero, but you will need to manually select PPPoE as your WAN type (and input the PPPoE details provided to you) during the set up process, and will not receive these additional benefits.
Before you begin
⚠️ Make sure your data service is active and ready. The eero will need to be able to get online successfully to complete setup.
⚠️ Use mobile data (or another wifi network) to download and install the eero app (https://eero.com/app) on your phone first, as you'll need this to set the device up.
Setting up your eero for the Pentanet network
- Connect any port on the back of your eero device to your internet service. For Pentanet nbn or Opticomm services, this will be your NBN or Opticomm NTD. For other products, this may be the LAN port on your power injector.
- Power up the eero using the included power adapter.
- Launch the eero app, and follow the simple guided instructions to set up an eero account and complete setup of your eero network.
