Does Pentanet block any network ports?

Pentanet does not currently block any network traffic ports or protocols on business services.

Beginning September 2024, insecure SMTP connections on TCP port 25 outbound (i.e, from a subscriber towards a host on the internet) may be blocked on some residential services, as per modern best practice recommendations from the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG).

We highly recommend the use of SSL/TLS to connect to 3rd party mail servers and relays, which are generally also configured to accept SSL/TLS connections on port 465 or 587 as an alternative to using insecure port 25. For more information, please contact your email provider.
